Do the stones look exactly the same as the photos on your page?
Since our stones are natural, the color and pattern of the installed stone slab may differ from the sample, reflecting the unique features found in different quarries or parts of a quarry. The individuality of each stone ensures that your order will be unique, as no two stones look exactly alike.
Is it possible to see stone samples?
Yes, it is possible to see stone samples. Customers are welcome to visit the factory in Estonia located at 18 Kurna tee, Kiili, during working hours. While there is usually someone present, it is advisable to call in advance and make an appointment to ensure that you receive proper assistance and attention during your visit.
Do you offer services to business clients or private clients?
We provide services to both businesses and individuals.  Our company is capable of handling projects of different sizes, ranging from large-scale orders to small orders, including custom orders.
To what regions do you offer your services?
In Estonia, we offer a broader range of services and works – including measuring and installing chimney stones, internal and external stairs, as well as wall and floor stones. Additionally, we provide stone maintenance and repair services throughout Estonia. As a separate service, we can also include plumbing and electrician work during the installation. To get a price quote for any additional services you are interested in, please reach out to us. In Helsinki and nearby areas like Uusimaa, Finland we offer a wide range of ceramic tiles and provide comprehensive tiling works for various spaces including bathrooms, fireplaces, walls, and more From waterproofing wet rooms to leveling walls and floors for tile installations, the skilled craftsmen ensure every detail is taken care of. Expertise even extends to creating custom ceramic sinks and worktops to add a personal touch to your space. In Sweden, our specialty lies in manufacturing stone tiles according to specified dimensions, and we warmly welcome bulk orders. Shipping is included as part of our service; however, please note that installation services are not available directly through us. Nevertheless, in Stockholm, we can facilitate access to the services of our trusted partners for installation needs. Do you only make stone countertops or are there other products you can make?
We provide a diverse range of products crafted from both natural and engineered stone. In addition to stone countertops, we can make stone splashbacks that complement your countertops, stone window sills, stairs, wall and floor tiles, as well as stone tables available in standard or custom measurements. We also accept custom orders for unique items like stone sinks and fireplaces. We can also provide installation services for all these products throughout Estonia. What is the process and timeline for payment?
Payment is normally made in two installments. The initial installment, or prepayment, is required upon placing the order after you have accepted the price quote. The advance payment must be settled before the stone is ordered.  The second installment is made after the product and service have been delivered to the customer, who has received it and confirmed it in writing or by e-mail. An invoice will be sent for the remaining amount.
When do you start working on an order?
We start work after receiving the advance payment in our bank account.
Who takes responsibility for measurements and drawings?
We take responsibility for measurements and drawings conducted by our staff. However, we are not responsible for measurements or drawings made by customers or other service providers hired by the customer.
Can changes be made after measurements have been taken?
No changes can be made after measurements have been taken, and no alterations are allowed to the furniture where the worktop is scheduled for installation. If adjustments are still necessary,  please contact us as soon as possible! In such cases, new measurements and drawings will be required, and an additional fee will apply.  If unnotified changes are made on-site, impacting the installation outcome, such as alterations to furniture or walls, Liidukivi bears no responsibility for the quality and precision of the work performed.
Before the measurer arrives, what kind of preparations are required?
Before measurements, the old countertop must be removed or made easily removable. Following measurements, no alterations to the furniture are allowed. If, during measurement, the dimensions do not match those provided at the time of ordering, we reserve the right to adjust the price. In such cases, an updated quote will be sent to you. We create drawings based on our measurements or the measurement data you provide. Once the drawings are prepared, we send them to you for approval.
Who is responsible for the delivery of stone slabs?
We take full responsibility for delivery if the transport and installation of stone slabs are handled by our staff or selected partners. The customer must confirm the stones’ good condition and, if installation is included, ensure it has been carried out satisfactorily. This confirmation should be provided in writing upon receipt of the delivery and service.
Can I make changes to my order?
Changes are allowed before the production process starts. After that, orders cannot be stopped or canceled. In the event of any changes to your order, we will provide you with an updated quotation that needs your written confirmation. Please note that an updated quotation may lead to additional costs, including changes in drawings and additional administration expenses. The delivery time will be extended based on the confirmation date of the updated offer.
What is included in the countertop installation price?
The installation price covers the transportation of countertops to the site, the installation and attachment to cabinets, as well as the connection of undermounted or flush-fitted sinks and flush-fitted stovetops to the stone countertop. Additionally, the service includes the application of silicone to the connection points. Usually we don’t offer plumbing and electrician work, but nothing is impossible, so feel free to contact us if you want us to take care of that as well. Surface adjustments at the installation site are not included and will be charged extra if they are necessary.
If old countertops are on top, who will remove them and when?
The removal of old countertops is not a service included with the installation of new countertops. We kindly request that customers take care of removing the old countertops no later than the morning of the scheduled installation day for the new countertops. If you want our team to take care of the removal of old countertops then you must request the service beforehand and a service fee for that will be included in the quotation.
How do I prepare my kitchen or room for the countertop installation?
Prepare the room for installation following our guidelines: pre-assemble cabinets/counters and ensure straight walls. To minimize additional work and save time, uninstall the old countertop or ensure it is easily removable (not glued). Ensure the installation space is well-protected, with covered floors and cleared walls and furniture to prevent damage during installation. If necessary, protect nearby surfaces by covering them as well. Please note that we do not take responsibility for any surface damage during installation, but we do compensate for damage caused by the negligence of our installers. We recommend customers wait until the worktop is installed before engaging in painting, wallpapering, or other finishing work. Do you provide warranty and under what conditions?
We give our stone surfaces a minimum 10-year warranty. In order for our warranty to be valid, the following requirements must be met:1.) Measuring, transport and installation must be carried out by our staff2.) The customer may only use the stone surface for the purpose for which it was intended. Mechanical, chemical, heat-related and other damage caused by improper use is NOT covered by the warranty. The warranty also does not apply to stains that have occurred during use.3.) The stone surface must be maintained in an appropriate manner, and must therefore have been cleaned and polished at prescribed intervals and special agents on a regular basis. Should any problems arise due to errors on our part during the measuring, installation, or transport of the worktop, we will resolve them free of charge. Can I cancel my order?
You have the right to cancel your order before the production process commences. Once the production process has begun, the order can no longer be canceled. Even if you choose to cancel your order before the production process starts, we must charge a fee for measurements performed (if included and completed) and drawings drawn up, as well as for administration and transport costs. If you wish to cancel your order after the production process has begun, you must pay the full amount as per the order confirmation, minus any installation costs.
What if I have complaints about the goods or work?
Any defects that become apparent within two months of the approved final inspection will be resolved in accordance with the Consumer Sales Act. If the goods or work do not meet the applicable requirements, they must be reported without delay. In the event that the complaint is found to be unfounded, we reserve the right to claim compensation for investigation costs. We are not responsible for the normal wear and tear of stone surfaces or for damage caused by improper use, maintenance, or errors in installation by anyone other than our staff.
